Southwell is filled with art, music, history, beautiful countryside and welcoming people. It is a town with the heart of a village and an independent soul, clearly seen in the collection of unique shops and eateries around the area.

Exploring via a website can only provide a flavour of the area, experiencing in person is what us humans really long for and if you can’t decide what to experience first, pop along to The Southwell Tourist Information Centre – the last of its kind in Newark and Sherwood. You will find a vast collection of leaflets with information ranging from historical sites, heritage walks, accommodation, events, bus timetables, day trips to local attractions and so much more.

Their volunteers are based in the local area and will gladly point you in the direction of your interests and desires. Of course if you do not find what you were hoping to – feel free to message us here, via our social media @SouthwellScoop or via email and we will happily help.
